Some Biblical Predictions and their Supernatural Fulfillment


One of the strongest proofs that the Bible is the inspired Word of God is its amazing predictions that have come true. Unlike vague predictions that are found in writings by Nostradamus or other inconsistent psychics, the Bible has clear and specific predictions that have been fulfilled throughout time. Here are just some of the Biblical predictions along with their supernatural fulfillment.


Prediction Prophetic Scripture Fulfillment
The Return of Israel to the Land Isaiah 11:11 (written between 740 - 680 B.C.) predicted that Israel would be regathered as a nation On May 14th, 1948, Israel became a nation again, over 1800 years after being dispersed from their homeland
The Revelation that the World is Spherical in Shape Isaiah 40:22 revealed that the World is circular in nature Ferdinand Magellan's voyage between 1519 - 1522 proved that the Earth was round, long after God's Word had revealed it, first
Cyrus, King of Persia Isaiah 44:28 - 45:1 identified King Cyrus by name and predicted that he would rebuild the Jerusalem Temple In 536 B.C., Cyrus decreed Israel's return from exile and the rebuilding of the Jerusalam Temple
The Succession of Great World Kingdoms Daniel 2:37-42 (written around 600 B.C.) predicted the world empires of Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome The kingdoms existed just as Deniel had predicted:
Babylon Empire (605 - 539 B.C.)
Medo-Persia (539 - 331 B.C.)
Greece (336 - 168 B.C.)
Rome (44 B.C. - A.D. 476)
The Time of the Coming of Jesus Christ Daniel 9:25 predicted that 483 years after the decree was given to re-build Jesusalem, the Messiah would come On April 6th, A.D. 32, Jesus rode as a King on a donkey into Jerusalem, 483 years after Artaxerxes ordered Nehemiah "to restore and re-build Jerusalem" in 445 B.C. (Nehemiah Chapter 2:1 - 11)
The Destruction of Tyre Ezekiel 26:3 - 14 (written between 593 - 571 B.C.) predicted the destruction of the city of Tyre, prophesying that it would become a place to spread fishing nets Tyre was partially destroyed by King Nebuchadnezzar in 573 B.C. Then it was completely destroyed by Alexander the Great in 332 B.C.. Today, it is used as a place "to spread fishing nets"
The Closing of the Golden Gate Ezekiel 44:2 predicted that the Eastern Gate of Jerusalem through which the Messiah, Jesus, entered on Palm Sunday, would be closed one day and not re-opened until He returns In A.D. 1543 Sultan Suleiman, The Magnificent, closed the gate and walled it up as Ezekiel predicted. It remains closed to this day
